The Nubian Sunrise painting speaks volumes about who I am as an artist. My enduring fascination with ancient Egypt and the ancient cultures of the East has always been a intriguing to me as an artist as well as my own cultural history for example the history of Viking era in Nordic countries.
Creating this I was captivated by symbolism, abstract nature, and the enigmatic aura this painting possess. This Artwork feels like new beginning – first golden rays of the sun – whispering from a distance and gently guiding towards the future.
Part of the Winter Whispers – charcoal art collection
Winter Whispers collection is my first art collection I created during the winter 2023-2024. Paintings in this collection are inspired by raw nature and winter coldness and near by Viking rune stones. As an artist I wanted to create something minimal, elegant and airy. Also to explore charcoal as a fine art material and see how far it can be stretched.
